Adel slowly opened her eyes. She lay still for a moment, slowing her breathing which was fogging up the glass and getting her bearings. She was new to this, she had been in cryo a few times before but never for this long. Slowly she put her palm on the glass and pushed. With a hiss it opened and she swung her legs out. "One.. Two... Three." She stood up and took a few steps forward without falling. She made her way to her locker and dressed herself. She noticed the cold through her thin clothes as she started to make her way through the empty ship. She placed her hand on the cold mettle, she could feel she ship wasn't moveing. This was creepy. "Hello? Any of ya'll awake yet?" She called out desperately hoping for an answer.

Jack was fiddling with the engine when a voice startled him. He whirled around. The voice wasn't behind him, but out in the hall. He put down his tools and grabbed his wintercoat. He stepped out into the cold hallway and saw a figure standing there. "Yikes!" Jack jumped the second time that week. He finally regained his composure and crept cautiously closer. Could I have finally lost my mind? But no, he reconized her, she was one of the crew... Adel, wasn't it? "I'm awake, and it's about time your awake too," he answered in a relieved tone.

Adel spun around on her heel startled. Why was it people aways came up behind her? Maybe it was because she looked amazing from behind... or maybe she just always looked the wrong way. She smiled at her vanity and looked quickly out the window, she stared for a good ten seconds before she realized that solid white mass was snow, they were buried in snow. She looked back at the guy standing in front of her but she couldn't seem to remember his name, she didn't know him to well. Joe, James, Jake. Yeah Jake sounded right and even if she wasn't thats what she would call him.
She bit her lip and pointed to the window. "Ok, I didn't do that. I swear it wasn't me."

Jack nodded. "I know," he said, walking past her and towards the control room. "From what I could gather from the auto-pilot," he continued, "it seemes there was a malfunction or something like that, computers ain't really my thing." He waited at the door, hoping she would follow. "However, I do know we sustained minimal damage on impact. One of the flight engines broke, and I may need better tools than what we have to fix it." Jack stopped, trying not to sound like a computer running a diagnostic. So he decided to ask something a computer wouldn't ask. "How-how are you?" His eyes were a bit droopy from over-working the past three or four weeks since they crashed, and he seemed like he was a bit stressed over something.

Adel followed him and listened to him ramble about the ship. Frankly she didn't care how the ship was, she wanted to know how the crew was and where the hell they were. She pushed her hair back and frowned a bit. This was probably why she had never gotten to know this guy as good as the others. He seemed a bit socially awkward. He did how ever manage to stutter out a how are you which was nice but it made her take a good look at him and he didn't look good. "Im uh good. A little light headed but good. Your not looking that great though, how long have you been here?"

"For about three or four weeks." Jack sat down at the controls and tapped on the computer a bit. A small planet popped up on the screen. "It seems like this planet is off of the beaten path, but a colony was started here." He put a finger on the northern hemisphere. "I think we're here somewhere." Jack stood back up and looked out the front window, night had started very early again. That was one of the things about this planet tha bugged him, small days. "I can't get a map or layout of anything though... the computer hates me." He turned around, facing Adel. "From what I saw from the cryo-pods, everyone except the other engineer made it."
(Hope you don't mind the other engineer.)

(OOC: Yeah no problem)
Adel looked intently at the little picture on the screen until he mentioned the other engineer didn't make it. She quickly traced a cross over her chest. Adel her self was not religious her self but the engineer had been and he had respected him. She looked down and muttered a prayer she had heard him say often, she also asked him, where ever he was to watch over them. Adel sat down in a chair across from him, crossed her legs and leaned back. "Well what do you want to do because i dont think we can stay here. Its to cold and the ship cant keep running forever."

"I don't know, I was hoping the res of the crew would wake up at the same time but... it's not that likely." He sat down and rested his head on the dashboard. "There is the hover cart though," he blurted out, "I've checked it, and it seems alright." He lifed his head up and yawned, then continued. "I could set the engine so that only the cryo pods are heated... and set a looped message telling them what happened." Jack stretched out in the chair. "I don't know which way to go though," he stated, "I've only wandered about a mile away and it all looks like snow."

Adel just shook her head slowly as he talked. Finally as he finished she looked up at him. "South. We load the cart up and he head south, obviously." she said in a mater of fact tone. "But first." She said lightening her tone and her voice. "I think you need a rest. No offence but you look like shit right now and you dont sound much better." She said as nicely as possible as she stood held out her hand to him.

He hadn't really thought about it, but as he spoke, he heard a scratchy voice speak. "Alright, I'll go to the engine room and lay sleep on the floor." Jack looked at her hand, it had been quite a while since he had interacted with people. Netherless, he held out his hand and was pulled up. "Could you pack the cart up while I rest? I can help when I wake up." He walked to his designated room, a room that was cold as the rest of the ship, and grabbed a pillow. He entered the engine room and went to the far side of the room. As the engine rumbled, Jack finally felt the fatigue in his bones, and as soon as he laid his head down on the pillow, he fell into a deep sleep.

Adel waited until she was sure he was asleep before going to her room. She knelt down and stuck her hand into a hole at the bottom of her bed. Her hand closed around the grip of her pistol. When she had joined Serenity she had placed it here for safe keeping and never took it back out. She figured she would never need it any more but right now she was nervous and a pistol in her hand made her feel a hell of a lot better. She slipped it into the waist band of her jeans and pulled on her warmest coat which, because of her fashion since, wasn't very warm at all but it would have to do.
That done she stepped out into the much colder cargo bay and loaded what they would need into the cart. Food, water, cooking fuel. Once it was loaded up she walked back inside and sat down in the bridge. Once Jack woke up they would go but for now he needed his rest. Adel leaned back and watched various lights wink off for quite some time before she tired of that and walked up to the window. She pressed her hands against it and stared out at the tundra and snow engulfing the ship. Quietly she asked herself "What am i doing here..." To that there was no answer, just the whistleing of the arctic wind on the ships hull.

Kyle moaned in his cryo pod. He was just starting to wake up. He'd been out for a couple of days and he wasn't really a huge fan of this whole thing. He'd rather had piloted the ship then let the dang auto-pilot take over. Dang what was he thinking. As he woke up he tried to push the pod open but it wouldn't budge. He was pissed now. So he began to use every bit of his strength to open it. "Damn thing ain't opening..." Kyle cursed as he began to push the hatch with more strength. As he did he could feel the thing was starting to move. "Yes! about time." Kyle cheered as the door began to open. Then with one more push the door's opened up, and Kyle came flying out. Kyle landed face first into the metal ground. "Ow... that hurts..." Kyle said aloud as he pushed himself up while rubbing his face.
After that whole ordeal Kyle looked around his area. He could see a two open pods. As he looked at them he scratched the back of his head, and began to go into thought."Alright two open pods... two things could be a factor here. First there are two other people walking around, and second they were the ones who tried to save the ship while I slept..." Kyle thought as he felt a massive wave of cold air hit his back. "Why the hell is it so cold in here?" Kyle said as he looked back only to see a metal wall, "Okay so that must mean there is some sort of hole of some kind around here on the ship... dang more work for the engine guy." Kyle continued before moving on.
Kyle started looking around the ship for his things. He was only wearing a thin layer of clothing. Since it was so cold in the ship he wanted his warmer clothing, plus his brown trench coat. So after a few minutes of looking through a few things he found his heavy brown trench coat along with his other gear like his pistol, and his combat knife all with his brown leather belt. So after getting all his gear on the first thing he did was walk towards the cargo hold. Once there he noticed that someone else had gone through the ships stores talking all the food.
Kyle licked the back of his teeth in though and slipped his hands into the coat pockets and began to think. "Oh God... that better have been someone taking the food for everyone..." Kyle though. Then he shook his head and walked towards the bridge to get a scan to see just how bad the ships damages was. As he made his way up the planks and through a few doors, and rooms he arrived at the last door leading to the bridge. As he took the steps up towards the door he could hear a mummbling sound. Kyle quickly pulled out his pistole and leaned up against the wall and held his left hand on the open button. Once he pressed the button and the doors flew open Kyle dove inside with his pistole aimed up ready to shoot anyone considered a threat. After doing so however he came face to face with one of the crew members. "Thank God... I thought I was the only one up, and alive in this place for second there." Kyle said as he put his pistol away. Kyle then moved to sit down on 'his' chair where he could see the controls and get an idea of how bad things were while he was out. "So you the only one awake? or is that other open pod's occupent alive too?" Kyle asked still pressing and look at the controls and buttons.
