Personality:To those who dont know her Adel can seem to be a rebel, a defiant young woman who cares about no one but herself and wont take crap from anyone. That however is not entirely true anymore. She has a special place in her heart for the Serenity and her crew. They are the exception to the rule, she respects them, even idolizes a few of them. Around them she feels safe, happy. Shes warm and friendly, joking and even a flirt at times.
History: Adel was always a troublemaker. She didn't always mean for it to happen but when she was young she was a little tornado of destruction. As a result she was perpetually in trouble, in time this lead to her becoming a sort of a social outcast. As she grew her accident prone nature went away but the damage was done. She had fallen in with the wrong sort of people and were doing things that were not only considered illegal but were also starkly immoral. She didn't mind, she was into the group mentality and she did what she was told. Some of the people she hung around made a great busyness out of taking ships hostage, sort of space pirates if you will. Due to this Adel became very handy with a pistol. She would trick her way onto a ship, disable it and take the crew hostage until her friends arrived and that was all fine and dandy until she tried it on the Serenity. Some things went wrong and she ended up as the hostage, her friend abandon her and she was stuck on board.
Lucky for her instead of sending her to jail the captain forced her into a sort of crash coarse reform school. After a few weeks of hard work she absolutely fell in love with the ship, it gave her a feeling of purpose and belonging that she never had and although her status as a crew member is a topic subject to heated arguments she doesn't mind and a fully year later she struggles to prove herself to the entire crew, to show them shes changed. She is a jack of all trades and master of none but if you need something done, something crazy and dangerous Adel's your girl.
